Unified Streaming has become part of a new consortium of video streaming specialists named the Bitmovin Innovators Network.
Launched by Bitmovin, a leading provider of video streaming infrastructure, the Bitmovin Innovators Network aims to “reduce the complexity of live and on-demand video workflows, making it easier for organizations from every industry to deliver high-quality video and audio experiences.”
The network kicked off its inaugural year with a meeting just ahead of IBC on September 8, 2022 at the EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, concluding an information session with a networking reception and drinks.
“The Bitmovin Innovators Network brings together industry trailblazers to spearhead the new era of video streaming,” said Stefan Lederer, CEO and Co-Founder of Bitmovin. “Our goal is to remove the technical complexities of video streaming projects that take months to build by simplifying video streaming workflows so our customers can deliver superior viewing experiences to audiences at speed and scale.”
“Joining other leaders of the video streaming industry via the Bitmovin Innovators Network widens the vision of Unified Streaming. This helps us continue shaping specifications and proposing new solutions in collaboration with industry partners. Being part of a group focused on removing technical complexities, providing flexibility, and improving quality of experience is fundamental to our mission,” said Jamie Fletcher, Senior Solutions Engineer at Unified Streaming.
Unlike many video streaming partnership programs, the Bitmovin Innovators Network features leading academic and technical research organizations that deliver new technological developments in video streaming. Among these organizations is Austria’s Alpen-Adria-Universität (AAU).
